The fire keeps growing!
Help us reach our goal by midnight.
After a long career in newspapers, starting Buffalo’s Fire was a leap of faith. Faith that there was an audience for Native-led and independent reporting on Indian Country. Faith that there was a desire for holding tribal governments accountable. That faith has turned into a movement towards a more informed tribal citizenry.
Buffalo’s Fire has grown dramatically over the last couple of years. From one person to a small and mighty staff, it’s Indian Country responding to our coverage that inspires us to keep going. Join us today by getting us to our goal of $5000 by midnight tonight.
We have great plans for 2026: coverage leading up to and beyond of the 150th Anniversary of Little Bighorn and a series dedicated to how tribes are addressing limited or no access for journalists to cover tribal governments.
I started this fire ten years ago. I hope you’ll join us with a contribution to feed the fire into the next ten years.
